Me time…πŸ˜Žβ€οΈπŸ™

This time of the year is spent enjoying some well earned breaks, mini breaks and full blown holidays away. That’s what we do, isn’t it? Is it?

I ask you to hold on for a minute and spare a thought for those who can’t take a break for whatever reason. There are millions of people around the world who will have to carry on regardless of whether they feel like it or not. Day in day out, they have to ‘trod on’. ‘Holding it together’ and doing so with dignity, grace and poise is how they roll. Often without a whimper or a moan.

I salute you my friends and stand in solidarity with you if you feel you can’t take a ‘break’. I also beg of you to at least close your eyes every now and again and imagine what it could be like if, by some miracle, you could take that break.

If you can visualise it, then maybe just maybe, you can take baby steps towards it. Take 5 minutes of ‘me time’ to escape it all and cherish the moment. Any time spent with yourself, is well spent. Don’t lose you, while trying to be all things to all people.

Be kind to yourself. If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.
