Why I write ✍🏽

I spent years with jumbled thoughts rattling in my head.

It was then, at my lowest point, that I started to offload my emotions to put them to bed.

I write my words down so I can be free.

It’s in the act of release of my emotions, that I am most me.

It’s funny that the introverted me thought and thought and thought…

That somehow the emotions would settle themselves, that was a theory fraught…

When I felt at my lowest, was when I pushed myself on towards being a better version of me.

I write my words down so I can be free.

Freedom to me is being able to think clearly.

Being able to be truly, authentically me.

Without fear of being judged, not caring for potential ridicule.

I don’t mind if by sharing my thoughts, others choose to call me a fool.

I write my words down so I can be free.

These days, I feel light of the burdens that had weighed me down so long.

If I were a singer, I would write me a song.

Yet, poetically in tune with the inner me.

I write my words down so I can be free. ✍🏽

That was wonderful. It is a celebration of self well worth sharing.. the price of the darkness gives the dividends of light afterwards.
