Gems to share…πŸ’Ž The Human Touch!πŸ’–βœπŸΎ way!

Tips for increasing productivity and maintaining work life balance…πŸ’Ž

I am asked the question, “how do you find time to do all the things you do?” at least once a day. It got me thinking about it too and I have to admit to being very disciplined with myself and my time. If I say I am going to do something, that’s what I’ll be doing.
This is a collection of the tips or, as I view them, gems, I that have been blessed to learn along the journey of life. They are short and sweet and really worth reading. Some of them could be handy and be applied to your life at some point. Β I leave it to you to decide.
Remember to share how you get on. It warms my heart to receive comments and I reply to every single feedback that I receive. All part of living a knowledgeably compassionate life. The Human Touch!πŸ’–βœπŸΎ is all about #CaringLearningInspiring

  • Expect less and you will not be disappointed!

A friend told me this several years ago when I was frustrated that a senior member of staff was behaving in an unbecoming way. I was naive to think that the job role meant that they would have the insight to know better. I then stopped putting people on pedestals and began to individually assess people’s values based on their behaviour. Guess what? I am no longer disappointed in people.

  • Under-promise and over-deliver!

Simply put, buy yourself time to deliver on a task as much as possible (if possible). You will produce even better results. Trust me, I have proved it.

However, I am aware that sometimes every task can be labelled as urgent and needed by yesterday. This is where your assertiveness, courage and negotiation skills are required!

  • Run your own race!

This is simply self-explanatory. Comparison is the thief of joy!

  • Start a tomorrow Β list!

You know when you ‘cash up’ mentally at the end of a long day at work and see that you have unfinished tasks that were on your to do list? No need to panic. Make a tomorrow list instead. The key is to tackle the tomorrow list first thing tomorrow. Β Avoid procrastination…that’s the thief of time πŸ˜‰
