The Italian View

Travel blogging is my new pastime. It gives me great pleasure to share my experiences with my friends all over the world. One of my former high school teachers in Jamaica thanked me for sharing and said it felt like she was travelling with me. That’s why I blog!!! To break down barriers and do my my bit for globalisation. Showing that there are no rules and anyone can do anything and go anywhere, within reason.
The world, my friends, is truly a global village!

I’m continuing on my downtime adventures. Italia has so much to offer. I’m finding so many similarities between the Italian way of life and my Jamaican heritage. We’re fiery, passionate, fun loving and family oriented. Needless to say, I feel at home. I may need to start learning Italian to really engage with the friendly people I meet. They’re a lot more friendly than I had heard.

I’ve found, in the few days, that there is a much more diverse society than one would have imagined yet they maintain their culture unapologetically.

Today, after a day of rest, rest and more rest, we headed off with our Italian friends Cassie and Fabio and visited the Riserva Naturale di Monte Mario. I’ll let the pics do the talking.

If you’re visiting Rome, venture out and about and off the beaten track.
It’s so worth it! ❤🇮🇹
