Making eagle moves

Soar eagle, soar

There’s something magical about eagles. My fascination with eagles began when my friend told me to continue making “eagle moves”. I loved the sound of it, even though I had to do some research to fully grasp her message. Thank you Lady V! I get it now!

Fast forward a few years, I now own my “eagleness” with pride. Yeah, I know it’s not a real word, however it encapsulates my thinking and approach better than any real word could at the moment.

So, why the eagle? Well, truth be told, my favourite animal is the lion or lioness, in my case. The lion is quiet, calm, chilled, strong, resilient and will take action to remind those who need reminding, who is the king of the jungle. There’s something about the lion that resonates with me and I will devote a whole blogpost to the lioness in me another time. For now, I’m flying with the eagles. They are a different type of animal. A bit more canny, in your face and reminding you that they won’t be ignored.

There’s an assertiveness, boldness and courage that we would ignore at our own peril. This is aligned to my ABC rule that has helped me to continue to soar in the past few years . My A was articulate, however the really fun thing is that we can interchange various words in our own ABC rule for our stage in life. Start where you are…

Some facts that jump out at me about eagles are that:

– They build their nests on top of high cliffs. They do this so they’re away from other predators and also, so they’re close to a food source.

– They’re a symbol of freedom and peace. These powerful creatures are regarded in the Bible as a sign of mercy and divine power.

– They’re cunning, bold and intelligent creatures. They don’t let their need for food overrule their tactical thinking and cunning abilities.

– They can turn their heads 210 degrees and this means they’re capable of seeing from a variety of angles and seeking out their prey with ease.

So, you can see why the amazing eagle continues to mesmerise me as I continue on my journey. Whenever, I feel like my wings are in danger of being clipped, I find a way to soar to the top of the cliff where my nest waits for me. I surround myself with other eagles and together we soar. Freedom and peace abound.

I encourage you to find your “eagleness” too. Let’s soar together. 🦅 🦅🦅. The view is spectacular. ❤️😊

Amazing views.
