As I look back on my experience of joining the virtual staging of the 10th Jamaica Poetry Festival 2020, I am still beaming with pride. Respect due to Yasus, Jamaica Poetry Festival family and all the amazing sponsors for making it bigger and better than ever! #JPF2020
I was honoured to represent Jamaica and the United Kingdom while we celebrated the contributions of inspirational Jamaicans including the iconic Miss Lou, Olive Senior. I was proud to note that I was the only poet with a nursing background. It demonstrated how the art of nursing beautifully intertwines with the healing art of poetry.
It was an inspirational showcase of poetry on a global stage with wonderful poets from 10 countries. Mother Earth truly rejoices. Check out the show here if you missed it. Jamaica Poetry Festival 2020
